- Waste-to-Energy Plants – Massachusetts, New York,
Puerto
Rico, New Jersey:
Prepared
comprehensive EIS documents for numerous waste-to-energy plants
nationally over a 15 year period. The EISs addressed project
impacts and mitigation for air quality, health risks, traffic,
noise, odor, dust, storm water runoff, aesthetics and
socioeconomics. Testified at numerous EIS public meetings and
formal hearings.
Pulp Recycling Mill, Massachusetts:
Prepared the Environmental Assessment (EA) for a large (458
TPD), proposed, pulp recycling mill. The EA addressed air
quality, traffic, noise, site-contamination, and aesthetic
impacts.
Ethanol Production Facility, New York:
Performed EIS scoping and baseline studies for an innovative
facility for conversion of municipal solid waste into fuel
ethanol
Materials Recovery Facility (recycling
facility), Massachusetts: Prepared
the EIS for a large (484 TPD) materials recovery facility that
would recover paper fiber from municipal solid waste.
Sludge Dryer/Pelletizer Facilities –
Massachusetts and New York:
Prepared the air quality, odor, and health risk portions of
comprehensive EIS documents for major facilities that thermally
convert large quantities of sewage sludge into fertilizer
pellets. One of the New York facilities is the largest such
plant operating in the world.
Major Access Road to a Lake Erie Port,
Pennsylvania: Prepared the air
quality portion of the comprehensive EIS for this major road
project, under the auspices of the Federal Highway
Administration.
